Yes, virtual design consultations are accommodated for clients who prefer remote design services or who are based at a significant distance from Rye's home base. However, where possible an in-person consultation is recommended as a clients space is more accurately interpreted in it's whole within the physical environment. The design process at Rye. offers two stages. An initial consultation stage, and a design development stage. A client can choose just the initial consultation or choose to hire Rye's services through development. A logistics/fit out/ implementation service is not currently a service offered. 

The initial consultation charged at 235 Euro will assess factors such as room size, layout, flow, aspect, budget and a general discussion around the desired level of finish and colour scheme. A follow up report will detail the course of direction for the client and feed into the design development stage where required.

The design development stage is charged at an hourly rate of 55 Euro. Here, time is spent collating images for your moodboard, identifying appropriate end products, gathering quotations, selecting suitable potential suppliers, choosing finishes, sourcing fabric samples/decoration. The client will always be kept informed and the project within agreed budget. For this service a 50% deposit based on a 4 hour unit of work is to be paid at the outset of the design development stage. The balance is due on submission of the design. Generally design development at Rye takes an average of 4-8 hours of design time.

Additional fuel surcharge will be applied to cover travel for on-site or store visits requested. This charge is variable from 30 to 120 Euro and dependant on client's/store distance from Rye's base. 

Virtual consultations are an excellent alternative to clients wishing to avail of Rye's services outside of this region. 

Clients are actively encouraged to incorporate existing pieces whether furniture,art or decoration into the scheme. A layered, rich and sentimental space requires such a thing and family heirlooms, inherited items and unusual finds are key to creating that timeless, warm and inviting space that Rye interiors strives to implement on every project.

For the design development stage if the client chooses to avail of it, home/store visits are charged at 65 Euro/Hr and are solely at the request of the client. A travel surcharge may apply depending on home/store distance from Rye's home base. See travel charges.

Travel charges are applicable to all services offered where distance from Rye's home base exceeds the thresholds outlined below:

30 Euro covers travel each way where travel exceeds 20km from Rye's base location. Applicable to site/store visits.

55 Euro covers travel each way where travel exceeds 40km from Rye's base location. Applicable to site/store visits.

70 Euro covers travel each way where travel exceeds 60km from Rye's base location. Applicable to site/store visits.

120 Euro covers travel each way where travel exceeds 80km from Rye's base location. Applicable to site/store visits.

Initial consultation- 235 Euro per room plus travel if applicable.

Design development- 55 Euro/hr. Initial deposit of 50% at the outset based on a 4 hour unit of work. Balance on submission of completed concept. Additional home/site or store visits during this phase are charged at 65 Euro/hr plus travel if applicable and are solely at the discretion of the client.
